SKN NCD Alliance Represented at the Global NCD Alliance Forum

We’re delighted to share that Michele Baker, Advocacy Officer at Lake Health and Wellbeing, recently represented the St. Kitts and Nevis NCD Alliance at the 4th Global NCD Alliance Forum held from 13–15 February 2025 in Kigali, Rwanda.

Thanks to a travel grant awarded by the NCD Alliance, Michele had the opportunity to join over 650 delegates from across the world who are part of the NCD movement. The Forum provided a vital space for civil society, youth advocates, policymakers, and public health leaders to collaborate and push for the implementation of proven, cost-effective solutions to address NCDs globally.

During the Forum, Michele connected with key regional and international stakeholders, including the Healthy Caribbean Coalition) and represented the young people of St. Kitts and Nevis, contributing to a strong youth voice in global NCD advocacy.

The Forum comes at a crucial time, as it helps shape advocacy planning ahead of the 2025 UN High-Level Meeting on NCDs. We are honoured that St. Kitts and Nevis had a seat at the table and we are incredibly proud of Michele for representing the Alliance and young people so well.
