Panel Discussion: International Day of Persons With Disabilities

In commemoration of the International Day of Persons With Disabilities, HealthWise, a show hosted by the Medical and Dental Association, featured a thought-provoking panel discussion organized by the St. Kitts Nevis Association of Persons with Disabilities. Esteemed guests included Mr. Anthony Mills, PRO of the St. Kitts Nevis Association of Persons with Disabilities; Dr. Glenville Liburd, Founder of Nevis Community Based Rehabilitation – CBR Advocates; and Mrs. Marecia Browne, Coordinator for Disability Services at the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Ageing & Disabilities.

The discussion, themed ‘Removing the Stigma: Advocating for Change While Building a More Inclusive Society,’ was an insightful exploration into the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and the ongoing efforts to foster inclusivity and acceptance within our society.
